The categories

Hands work back — Support that transfers the task to the student: wait time, a lighter prompt than last time, letting the task's own cue do the talking, stepping back as skill grows.
Keeps the adult in the loop — Support that inserts the adult where the task or the student could carry it: pre-empting, prompting before the student can try, staying when the data says step back.
